We returned home safely in the wee hours of Monday morning. Now we are in route to Colorado for the Christmas holiday. What a delightful honeymoon the two of you orchestrated for us! Thank you, thank! Reshid and Alper both did excellent jobs for us in their respective areas. The local guides were great too. Everyone we met along the way was very nice. I still think about the meal in Korkuteli. Probably my overall favorite of the trip, but hard to say. The fact that I gained five pounds proves I loved all the food! The ibex is beautiful and we both throughly enjoyed the cultural tour. Tom has been promoting Caprinae and Turkey all week. It was a wonderful surprise to have you both join us on the hunt. I only wish it had lasted a little longer. Thanks for making the effort to be there. Again, our greatest thanks for a wonderful trip. We look forward to seeing you in January.

This is the first time in my life that I do not know how to start a message I want to send to you. I really feel my eyes crying of thankfulness for everything you did for me and Alejandra, but more specially for me. I have the sense of feeling that it’s like a dream, but such a happy dream. I first met Riza and Mehmet while hunting bezoar ibex with Shikar. I was so impressed with them that when they formed Caprinae Safaris the following year I scheduled my next hunt in Turkey with them. It is hard to find outfitters, specially in Asia, that can properly understand the special needs of a bowhunter. Bowhunters require and extra effort, and guides armed with a lot of patience. We look to enjoy the process as much as the result. This year I travelled with Caprinae to Azerbaijan for dagestan tur. I had an amazing time, the hunt took place as promised on the hunting show, everything went perfect. The guides were phenomenal, passionate hunters willing to give their best to make it happen and the place was properly prepared and scouted. The result was a dream come true by arrowing a monster tur around the 40 inch mark. I just want to thank the whole Caprinae team for such a wonderful experience. My relationship goes back to nearly 2000 with two of the partners of Caprinae. I have hunted seven weeks with Riza Guzluk in Pakistan. I must say, that i could never have been in a better care than with Riza. We have been in very tricky situation many times together, and i always knew i had Riza behind me to help to make those extra steps. Again i want to thank him. I also knew Mehmet Alkan way back, and has helped me with my Trophies and all the paper work that was necessary to have our Trophies exported in a reasonable time. Riza, Just wanted to let you and Mehmet know how much I enjoyed my hunt with you and your crew in Azerbaijan for the dagestan tur. This was without a doubt the most spectacular mountain scenery of any of the mountain hunts I have been on so far. You somehow made this all work out. Arrival to another country with no rifle is always a challenge- you were able to borrow a very high quality mountain rifle from a local businessman. Unfortunately, you couldn’t change the weather which had us “socked in” the entire hunt. But we hunted diligently and got a break one day when we spotted two tur from camp. After a four hour hike, we got up to where we had spotted them and then had to wait for the cloud cover to lift. We got a lucky break and I was able to take the larger of the two. This was just an incredible experience for me. Your entire crew worked so hard to make this one of my most enjoyable hunts. Thank you for helping me in my quest for the Triple Slam. I just wanted to send a quick email in order to express my thanks related to my recent trip & hunt for Tur. The magnitude of this trip is only now beginning to sink in. I chose this hunt for a few reasons as I have stated earlier, one of which was to once again experience a Caprinae Safari. My second reasoning was to hunt with Cuneyt and thirdly for the challenge of hunting turn which is considered by many to be the most difficult hunt worldwide. All three of the reasons listed above without question exceeded my expectations! As we drove towards Sheki and I could see the mountains I wondered if this was more than I had bargained for.. The manner in which this hunt transpired showed that in the right care with proper planning and proper execution anything is possible! It certainly goes far beyond the hunt itself. My experience with all those involved with the trip and how I was treated shows I was associated with a first class organizationand in no uncertain terms with great people. I experienced a different culture and was able to develop an appreciation for that culture. In essence this was far greater than a hunting trip! Thanks for all of your patience, assistance and understanding. Without your organization the word success could not be even remotely associated with this adventure!!

Nachdem ich von meiner Jagdreise in die Türkei zurückgekehrt bin, möchte ich noch einmal Caprinae-Safaris für die vorbildliche Organisation ein Lob aussprechen. Ob die Abholung am Flughafen, die Hilfe bei der Waffeneinfuhr, die Unterbringung in der Nähe des Jagdgebietes und später in der wunderschönen Altstadt von Antalya, alles verlief reibungslos und ohne Probleme. Das wichtigste bei einer solchen Reise ist natürlich der Jagderfolg. Die Jagd war sehr gut und professionell vorbereitet, jede Pirsch im Mondlicht war spannend, belohnte mit Anblick oder waidmannsheil. Ich habe drei starke, alte Keiler erlegen können, ein langjähriger Traum ging für mich in Erfüllung. Die Anfahrten in das beeindruckende Jagdgebiet waren schon ein Erlebnis für sich, das Gebirge, die Pflanzenwelt, die Fahrt durch abgelegene Bergdörfer, alles waren neue, wunderbare Eindrücke für mich. Ganz besonders bedanken möchte ich mich bei meinem Hunting-Guide Sah Ali und meiner Tourist-Guide und Management Nazmiye Celik. Viele Grüße in ein großartiges Land mit gastfreundlichen Menschen. Whether the pickup at the airport, help with the arms import, accommodation near the hunting area and later in the beautiful old city (Kaleici) of Antalya, everything went smoothly and without problems. The most important aspect of such a trip is of course of hunting success. The hunt was very good and professionally prepared, each hunt in the moonlight was exciting, rewarded with the sight or Waidmannsheil (Avcının Selamı). I can shoot three strong, old boar, a longtime dream came true for me. The journeys in the impressive hunting area were already an experience in itself, the mountains, the vegetation, the drive through remote mountain villages, everything was new, wonderful impressions for me. As you’ve probably heard my hunt was successful. It was a bit mixed because the odds were against us (fog, wind, rain) and then the rut slowed down. Anyway I had only one chance but I took it and got a super nice stag. Cüneyt is a fantastic guide. Very professional and hard working. He really did his best to make this happen.
